Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team. As a Proposal Writer, you will play a key role in the development and submission of compelling proposals for government contracts, focusing on training and human development initiatives. You will be a volume lead and writer for all proposals, responsible for developing written content for proposal volumes and written content for LinkVisum’s responses to Federal solicitations.
This role is expected to develop technical volumes and ensure that integrate with other volumes and is compliant with all RFP requirements. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other team members to create high-quality proposals that meet client requirements and demonstrate our expertise in the field. You may be asked to support the development of the proposal schedules and deadlines, proposal outline and compliance matrix.
You will work directly with Proposal Manager and Business Development Director to deliver technical responses to government-issued solicitations, including requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for quotation (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs). Job Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality, technically accurate, and compelling content for proposals, white papers, and other documentation related to human capital strategy, organizational assessments, communications and change management, training development and execution.
- Research and analyze solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other procurement documents to understand client needs and requirements.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and project teams to gather information and develop comprehensive proposal content, including technical approaches, methodologies, staffing plans, and budgets.
- Write and edit proposal sections, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with proposal requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate proposal development activities, including scheduling meetings, setting deadlines, and managing document version control.
- Review and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders, management, and clients to refine proposal content and enhance competitiveness.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and other proposal-related resources.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to government contracting and proposal development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English and Communications
- Must have a minimum of 4 years as a proposal writer responding to Federal solicitations
- Proven experience in proposal writing for government contracts, particularly in the areas of training, human development, or organizational development.
- Functional knowledge of training concepts, human resource/ organizational assessments, strategic communications, and process improvement
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources and tailor content to specific audiences.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management concepts (e.g., Shipley).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
