SUMMARY
The Quality Coordinator plays a vital role in upholding the Sartori Quality System by leading continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating facility-wide quality and food safety training, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and third-party quality and food safety guidelines. This position supports a culture of quality and drives excellence across all aspects of production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates the implementation, adherence and maintenance of the Sartori Quality System and Safe Quality Food (SQF) programs.
- Collaborates with facility leadership to drive and execute quality initiatives on the production floor.
- Develops quality performance metrics and identifies improvement opportunities to enhance product quality and consistency.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in the development and implementation of standardized work instructions.
- Maintains and leads facility-wide training for team members on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), allergens, food defense, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), quality scorecard, and other Safety Quality Foods (SQF) programs.
- Serves as the team leader for HACCP, preventative controls, and food defense teams.
- Coordinates and leads regulatory, customer, and third-party audits; ensure facility remains audit-ready and compliant.
- Leads small teams focusing on continuous improvement, root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Conducts routine inspections to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Supports sanitation verification and validation processes.
- Updates and maintains quality system documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Provides technical support and ensure timely completion and documentation of assigned quality projects.
- Supports onboarding and development of new team members in quality-related roles.
- Partners with production supervisors to improve processes and ensure product consistency.
- Communicates with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns and resolutions.
- Promotes a strong culture of food safety, quality, customer focus, and accountability.
- Responds immediately to any food safety or quality issue raised by team members.
SQF BACK UP PROVISION
Maintains compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit requirements and ensures ongoing food safety and quality across operations. The Operational FSQ Manager - Creamery or designee serves as the backup to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree in Food Science or Microbiology is required. Prior experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree if currently pursuing a degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in a food facility is required. Experience in a dairy facility is preferred.
- Multilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS
- Complete HACCP/PCQI certification program and SQF Practitioner status within 6 months of hire.
- Complete / maintain any other state-specific Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) requirements.

WORK LOCATION
This is an onsite position located at our West Main Creamery located in Plymouth, WI.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10%). A valid driver’s license is required. Must maintain a clean driving record to remain insurable under the company’s insurance policy.

When entering the production facility, the Team Member is occasionally exposed to cold working conditions and/or moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate while in the plant. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to hazardous substances as outlined in the Chemical Hygiene Plan. This position requires occasional off shift work.
