JOB DESCRIPTION QA Tech Monday – Friday 2pm – 12:30am, Saturday’s as needed.
JOB TITLE: QA Tech
REPORTS TO: Quality Tech
JOB DUTIES:
- Read and understand all product specifications.
- Assist QA Manager/Supervisor and Warehouse team as needed.
- Serve as 2nd QA Tech hand on as needed. Could be up to 95% on floor working
- Perform recalls documentation .
- Perform and monitor monthly and quarterly testing/swabbing.
- Manage label approvals.
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with BRC.
- Monitor employee compliance with SSOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety rules and regulations.
- Monitor and document CCPs according to HACCP Plan.
- Prepare product samples and coordinate shipping.
- Assist in safety training.
- Perform pre-operational inspection for first shift.
- Inspect pallets for poor seals.
- Establish a good working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.
- Any other duties as assigned by Management.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds continuously.
- Cooler testing
- Completing COA’s.
Skills Desired:
- Detail orientated.
- Experienced with Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of ProTrace completing (Mass balance test) a plus or Warehouse Management System
- Ability to withstand a cold environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred not required. 3-4 Years of industry experience in place of bachelor’s degree and some college.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES OF THIS POSITION:

- GRASPING: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- TALKING: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- HEARING: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- VISION: Ability to visually inspect products, equipment, and processes. Requires visual acuity including depth perception and field of vision.
- READING: Ability to read production schedules, grinding specifications, safety signs, scales, product labels, and any company policies and procedures distributed or posted.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
- HEAVY WORK: Lifting 50 pounds frequently.
- MEDIUM WORK: Exerting force frequently to move objects.
CONDITIONS THE WORKER WILL BE SUBJECT TO IN THIS POSITION:
- The worker is subject to cold: temperatures below 50 degrees for periods of up to 8 hours.
- The worker is subject to noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard.
- The worker is subject to potential hazards includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, sharp tools, and electrical current.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
