Job Title: Receptionist and Retail Sales Associate
Job Summary:
Believe in Dog Training is currently looking for an experienced person to work in our Receptionist and Retails Sales Department. We are a positive reinforcement dog training and enrichment center in the Houston Heights. We specializes in puppy training, dog manners training, and dogs with behavioral issues. We are open 7 days a week and are extremely popular with all of our clients seeking dog training in the form of our drop-off puppy program, our group classes, or private lessons.
An ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, great organizational skills, ability to handle a fast-paced environment, some experience in the pet industry, and strong computer skills. Social Media experience is an added bonus. There is a lot of opportunity for growth with this position, especially since we would like to hire someone who can help us expand our retail offerings as the company continues to grow.
Work Schedule:
- Must be able to work on Saturdays (8:30am to 4:30pm) and four additional days during the week (12pm to 9pm)
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers and explain our services and retail product offerings. Explain our pricing, policies, and why we are a top-tnotch dog training facility focused on positive reinforcement practicies.
- Assist customers with their dog training bookings
-Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment
-Assist customers with product selection, ensure they are finding what they need, and provide recommendations as needed
-Help maintain and create store visual merchandising, including themed & holiday displays, signage, and pricing.
-Stock shelves and keep inventory organized and well-stocked
-Be an expert on the products and be able to answer questions and provide information as needed
Qualifications:
- Must do well in a very busy, sometimes noisy (barking dogs) work environment. We are looking for someone that can answer phones and greet walk-in clients in that environment.
-Ability to multi-task - tasks from phone calls, emails, and clients walking in can overlap
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills like word processing, google docs, video editing and ability to learn our training software
- Strong organizational skills
- Social Media Savvy
- Friendly with dogs of all shapes and sizes - We are a dog training facility, and you will be greeting dogs every day!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
