EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan is looking to hire an individual for the following full-time position at our Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, Front Offices location:
Receptionist: Full-time Positions Open: 1
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer the phone in a professional manner by properly forwarding calls to the correct staff member, answering with clear diction so all donors, visitors, staff and business contacts are able to clearly understand your communication.
- Greet all individuals that enter the building in a polite and courteous manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest residence.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front desk reception area.
- Be familiar with the list of donated items R3M does and does not accept.
- Be familiar with the procedure of accepting packages and deliveries.
- Notify administrative staff immediately when emergencies occur or when difficult decisions need to be made.
- Keep constant supervision of the parking lot areas to ensure safety of those who enter and exit the Mission and to provide protection for any vehicles that are parked.
- Ensure Mission guests have the required pass to enter the building.
- Maintain volunteer, visitor, and package logs. Keep front desk paperwork stocked.
Job standards:
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to verbally communicate, in a clear and concise fashion, with guests, families, the public, other helping agency representatives, church representatives, and other members of the staff.
- Ability to read/write English and document transactions. Knowing Spanish as a second language would be a plus.
- Must be honest, dependable and exhibit a warm, cheerful, caring manner.
- Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
