Heather Heights is looking for a vibrant and energetic Activities/ Recreation Aide to join their outstanding team! This position is part time and would require flexible hours with weekend availability.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Interact with residents and understand their needs and limitations with respect and empathy
- Develop, lead and engage in diverse activities that cater to a wide range of interests and abilities including but not limited to, arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, music sessions, outings, Holidays and special events
- Encourage the participation and social interaction of residents during group activities
- Monitor the behaviors and outcomes of an activity ensuring positive feedback and engagement
- Provide individual attention and planning to residents based upon his or her needs or interests, honoring residents’ requests is our specialty!
- High School Diploma or GED
