This position will help deliver wellness-focused solutions that boost store performance, champion wellness programs across the co-op community, ensuring they're impactful and engaging. This is an ideal position for those who have led wellness departments in a multi-store or national retail environment and enjoy designing, implementing, and optimizing wellness initiatives that drive growth and customer engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate with NCG Strategic Development Managers to achieve the strategic business objectives established for NCG member co-ops.
- Secure adoption of store volume and market specific programming options.
- Ensure the successful department-level planning, set-up, and opening of NCG Business Expansion projects, and other projects as directed.
- Design, implement, and evaluate wellness programs within member co-op departments, integrating wellness in the overall co-op culture.
- Analyze the impact and effectiveness of the program, making adjustments to wellness programming as needed.
- Provide and deliver content related to wellness operations at NCG conferences and events as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience in wellness providing multi-unit department management and strategy.
- Minimum five years of experience providing wellness programming and strategy in a retail setting.
- Experience and familiarity with the operation and management of retail bulk, grocery, and wellness departments, including category management, category adjacencies, product sourcing (private label), equipment specifications, setup, and design for a variety of store sizes and concepts.
- Experience managing and training staff to comply with federal regulations, including a high level of experience in monitoring compliance with DSHEA guidelines.
- Experience in developing and implementing inventory management processes and systems, including ordering, receiving, and on-hand inventory par levels.
- Experience developing, executing, and evaluating promotional strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share.
- Up to 75% of business travel required, including overnights and weekends.

The salary for this position is $109,074.

- Home Office (Contiguous U.S.): Eligible if within 100 miles of a major airport and has sufficient internet bandwidth and mobile phone service.
- Paul, MN Office: Workstations available at 2610 University Ave W, with free parking and access to the Green Line Light Rail (Westgate Station).
