Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Nursing
Location: Pikeville, KY 41501
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Hours per Week: 48
Shifts: 4x12s (Day Shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized IV drips (titration required)
- Provide cardiac monitoring/intervention, sedation, pain management, and chest tube care
- Care for patients pre- and post-cardiac catheterization
- Manage central line access, TPN/PPN, and transfusion therapy
- Perform waived testing and monitor information management systems
- Provide patient education and participate in discharge planning
- Supervise and allocate work to support staff
- Assist physicians during bedside procedures
- Function as a preceptor and contribute to performance improvement initiatives
Required Experience & Certifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- License: Valid RN license (KY or compact)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG interpretation – all required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
