Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting optimal health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate health status and identify nursing needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and catheterization.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition, responding promptly to emergencies as needed.
- Assist in sterile processing and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff members and contribute to ongoing staff education.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in an Emergency Room or Level II trauma center is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, IV insertion, catheterization, and operating room procedures.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $62.00 - $72.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: On the road
