Position Overview
The Roofing Operations Manager oversees all operational aspects of a roofing company, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Coordinate and schedule residential and commercial roofing projects from start to finish.
- Team Management: Supervise roofing crews and subcontractors; recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance.
- Quality Control: Ensure workmanship meets company standards and complies with building codes and safety regulations.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and favorable pricing.
- Compliance: Enforce OSHA and other safety standards; maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, financials, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in roofing or construction operations
- Proven leadership in managing multiple projects and teams
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
