The role…
Exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual, with a passion for homeware and interiors, to join the Soho Home retail team. There is a part-time sales position available in our Soho Home studio, inside the Miami Beach House. As a member of the team, you will be committed to providing professional customer service and outstanding product knowledge, while maintaining showroom standards & supporting our Interior Designer & Trade Consultant with appointments & general duties.
Main Duties
- Provide outstanding service that will create a positive experience for the customer and generate brand loyalty.
- Ensure guests are greeted and cared for when browsing or purchasing products from the studio.
- Provide detailed information about products and services offered throughout the store and online, as required.
- When products are not available, provide alternative options.
- Handle questions and/or concerns in a professional manner.
- Process purchases/returns via the point of sale and ordering system. Look up past orders and tracking, providing clarity and updates for existing purchases.
- Have a good understanding of the business to drive sales and maximize the potential of products in the retail space.
- Ensure the shop displays & back of house are fully stocked and that high standards of cleanliness are always maintained within the studio.
- Unbox inventory replenishment upon arrival.
- Execute monthly inventory of product to ensure quantities are accurate.
- Ensure the studio has sufficient supplies at all times (e.g. stationary, light bulbs, etc).
- Support the Interior Design & Trade Consultant by preparing for in person meetings.
- Provide weekly image updates to our UK based VM lead to ensure studio standards are consistently maintained.
- Remain aware of how specific products are selling to improve revenue and provide feedback to leadership.
- Source products from the back of house where required.
- Meet daily/weekly sales targets and inform leadership and finance teams via reports.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Have proven experience in a similar role within a luxury retail environment.
- Deliver a high level of customer service.
- Communicate honestly, openly, and constructively.
- Have a creative flair and ability to speak to colors, styles, and design trends with confidence.
- Demonstrate flexibility and innovation, recognizing and reacting to the changing retail landscape.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in furniture and lighting is preferred. POS experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 50 pounds.
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
