We’re looking for a creative detail-oriented and personable team member to join us in bringing the best of mid-century design to life. This role centers on supporting our sales operations and customer experience—from handling inventory and client communications to working on our social media channels. You’ll play a key role in keeping our Instagram and Pinterest channels vibrant and authentic—engaging with a community that shares our love for timeless, beautiful design.
We’re a small but mighty team that works closely together—no rigid departments, just people who care deeply about what they do and support each other along the way. If you thrive in a collaborative setting where every day brings something new, this could be your next great opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support & Client Interaction
* Welcome and guide clients through our showroom with warmth and expertise
* Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media with professionalism and genuine care
* Generate and manage invoices, estimates, and internal memos in QuickBooks
* Keep inventory and sales platforms updated in real time
* Research and document product details (provenance, designer, year, model, market pricing)
* Provide administrative support to maintain accurate inventory and smooth operation
Social Media & Online Presence
* Curate and update Instagram with fresh arrivals, styled imagery, and behind-the-scenes glimpses
* Maintain a consistent posting schedule that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals
* Collaborate on content planning, captions, hashtags, and community engagement
* Organize Pinterest boards featuring inventory and design inspiration that reflect our aesthetic
* Monitor engagement, stay on top of design and social trends, and suggest new ideas
* Assist in brainstorming and executing campaigns, collaborations, and visual storytelling initiatives
Inventory & Platform Management
* Assist with product intake: measuring, labeling, organizing, and entering inventory details
* Ensure product listings (pricing, dimensions, condition) are accurate and up to date
* Manage listings on 1stDibs, our website, and internal inventory systems
* Work closely with our warehouse and creative teams to keep things flowing
Qualifications
* Experience in customer service, retail, showroom, or administrative roles preferred
* Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
* Warm, clear, and professional communicator—both written and verbal
* True team player who’s adaptable, proactive, and collaborative
* Comfortable wearing many hats and thriving in a dynamic, design-driven team environment
* Familiarity with 1stDibs or similar sales platforms a plus
* Experience with QuickBooks or willingness to learn
* Confident with Instagram and Pinterest, including posting and community engagement
* Passion for mid-century modern furniture and design strongly preferred
* Bonus points for digital photography skills, Photoshop and Lightroom experience
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs with help when needed
* Physical tasks include walking, bending, lifting, and moving furniture and décor
* Seasonal warehouse conditions: sometimes hot, sometimes chilly
* Closed-toe shoes required; casual, clean, and comfortable attire expected
* Saturday availability is a must
