The Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically proficient Salesforce Developer (1-4 years of experience) to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), strong fundamentals in software development, and some hands-on experience with Salesforce, either through internships, academic projects, or early professional work.
We value problem-solvers and strong developers who can learn the Salesforce platform and bring modern development practices with them.
This is a hybrid role based out of our San Diego office and we are also open to remote candidates in time zone PST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and QA teams to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, AWS services, etc.).
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to best practices around development, testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
- Stay current with Salesforce platform features and releases.
- Work with Salesforce Admins and other developers on projects as well as support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1–4 years of software development experience (including internships or academic projects).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning) through coursework, internships, or junior roles.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Salesforce APIs and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Basic understanding of Salesforce configuration tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules).
- One or more Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I) are a plus but not a substitute for foundational dev experience.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Copado, or Jenkins.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
