As a Security Professional - Education Patrols Desk in Radnor, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .
As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students at a prominent education-focused location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, greeting guests with professionalism, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by observing and reporting any unusual activity, responding to inquiries, and assisting with security-related procedures as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using computers or tablets and who thrive in a dynamic, people-oriented environment. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, students, staff, and/or faculty at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence and professional customer service.
- Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
- Support security-related procedures and help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior at the location.
- Remain alert and attentive while stationed at the front desk, observing and reporting any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
