As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions that drive our business forward.Essential Duties:Prepare and maintain accurate bank reconciliations for multiple accountsPerform detailed account reconciliations including balance sheet accounts, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilitiesSupport accounts payable processes including vendor management and payment processingProcess travel and expense reimbursements in accordance with company policyRun and maintain payroll for the US entity, ensuring accuracy and complianceSupport benefits administration including enrollment changes and benefit reconciliationsAssist with customer billing processes and collections activitiesMaintain general ledger integrity through accurate journal entries and account analysisOther duties as assignedStandard General Ledger & Senior Accountant Duties:Assist and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activitiesAnalyze account variances and investigate discrepanciesAssist with budget preparation and variance analysisSupport external audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requestsMaintain supporting documentation for all transactions and account balancesPrepare analytical reports and summaries for management reviewAssist with sales tax returns and compliance mattersSupport implementation and testing of new accounting policies and proceduresMonitor and maintain internal controls related to assigned processesParticipate in special projects and process improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesAssist with fixed asset accounting including depreciation calculationsSupport month-end and year-end accrual processesMaintain vendor master file updates and new vendor setupsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software applicationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyPreferred QualificationsExperience with NetSuite ERP system strongly preferredPrevious experience in a recurring revenue/ SaaS technology companyKnowledge of payroll processing and benefits administrationExperience supporting external audit processesFamiliarity with revenue recognition principlesWork Environment & ExpectationsPosition available as remote or hybrid arrangement for US-based candidatesMust be available during typical East Coast business hours (9 AM - 5 PM ET)Regular attendance at department meetings is mandatoryAbility to respond to requests and inquiries promptlyNo travel is required for this positionProfessional home office setup required for remote workWhy Join Symplicity?Ready to take your accounting career to the next level?
