Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a Service Department Manager with our service department to join our team in our Highlands Ranch, CO office. The Service Department Manager is a full time position with opportunities to grow and expand within the service department.


Key Responsibilities and Objectives:


  • Business Planning and Financial Oversight - Develop and execute business goals, revenue projections, budgets and growth strategies. Collaborating with the Corporate Division Manager to set and monitor financial goals, including billing, receivables, and collections.
  • Oversee financial performance to ensure profitability and long-term success.
  • Performance Monitoring and Metrics - Track and assess monthly performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Review and analyze large project estimates to identify risks with Corporate Division Manager for projects exceeding $250K.
  • Team Development and Leadership - Interview, hire and onboard high-level Apprentice and Journeyman.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development to Strategic Account Mangers (SAM's), superintendents, estimators, and other key team members.
  • Operational Excellence and Policy Implementation - Implement and enforce policies and procedures that drive quality, integrity and overall division performance. Foster a culture of accountability and high moral standards within the teams.
  • Client Relationship and Business Development - Cultivate and build strong relationships with new and existing clients to support business growth and project success.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to drive long-term growth.
  • Project and Risk Management - Provide estimating support and ensure timely project evaluations to manage workload effectively. Guide SAM's and staff on managing risks, with a focus on larger projects and vertical market strategies.
  • Assist project teams in maintaining timelines, managing job costs, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Growth Strategy and Staff Accountability - Set clear goals, expectations, and training programs for SAM's and associated staff to ensure continued development and performance. Monitor project progress, offering support to Superintendents and addressing challenges to maintain workflow and efficiency.
  • Regional and Market Support - Partner with Colorado branch leadership and the Corporate Division Manger to drive regional initiatives.
  • Represent the service department at key local events and industry engagements.
  • Other duties and locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Demonstrate experience in building and executing strategic business plans.
  • 15 plus years of experience in the electrical industry or similar managerial role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and building spreadsheets, graphs, and data points. Microsoft Word and Power BI software.
  • Strong estimating experience in large projects over $5 Million.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical design, project finance, and construction management.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and inspire teamwork.
  • Ability to adapt to new software/technologies.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrical license.

This full-time Service Department Manager position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. As a full-time Electrical Project Manager, you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

Work Schedule:


This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday, 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
