Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Clerk
PAY / COMPENSATION:
$14-17 per Hour - Ten Days PTO and Eleven Federal Holidays
POSITION SUMMARY
The SHAW CONCEPTS - Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Clerk is an individual with a service mindset and a passion for attention to detail and preciseness. They are responsible for fulfilling online, dealer and government orders in a prompt and correct manner, managing all finished inventory for accuracy. This position will take online orders, check postage, print labels & pack slips, properly pack and close up packages and hand packages to the appropriate carriers (USPS & UPS). This position will additionally ensure inventory is properly stored and organized, pick-and-pack tubs are constantly topped off and inventory numbers are accurate.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, or sorting bins.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.
- Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact.

-Ability to organize workflow and execute tasks precisely.
-Thorough knowledge of company products and offerings.
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-40 Hours a week
-Ability and willingness to stand on feet for the duration of the day and lift at least 50 lbs regularly.
-High school diploma or GED.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
