Receives mail/packages and inspects package(s) for damages
Sorts and delivers mail and packages(s) to proper receiving party/department(s)
Sorts outgoing mail, courier packages and ensures bulk shipments are processed and sent out timely
Loads/unloads mail and delivers mail and packages to outlying clinics, departments, and offices
Responsible for state issued equipment/property. Ensures proper use and operation of equipment and property
Receives hazardous packages, inspects package(s) for damages
Must stay abreast of all changes that affect the delivery and processing of mail, including increases in postage rates, weighing and proper packaging regulations, etc.
Will be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)
Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect,
Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school plus 4 years experience.
Additional education may substitute on a year for year basis
Licensure/certification:
Employee will need to have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance through duration of employment; will need to undergo a background check, driver approval request and 15 passenger training. Duties outlined will maintain institutional oversight responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be knowledgeable of the city of El Paso area/streets
Must have some mailroom and warehouse experience
