Company Overview
The Spiritual Director will promote the Christian mission and goals of the Center by providing opportunities that nurture the spiritual life of the Center’s staff and clients. The Spiritual Director will spend a minimum of 10 hours and a maximum of 15 hours per week fulfilling their responsibilities.
This Position Reports to Executive Director
Key Responsibilities
- Design a lesson plan with a Bible theme that teachers can implement throughout the week at the age level of their class.
- Work on the development of a Christian-based curriculum for future use.
- Conduct a chapel service for the children at least bi-monthly, consisting of worship songs, prayer, and a children’s lesson/sermon.
- Lead the staff in a corporate devotional once during the week.
- Spend time with each staff member to train them for the spiritual leadership needed in working with children and their families.
- Be available to staff for spiritual counseling and guidance when requested.
- Attend scheduled Board meetings to report progress and issues to the Board.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
· High energy.
· Strong oral and written communication skills; technology skills.
· Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
· A strong understanding of child development.
· Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Must clear full background check.
· Must pass health screening.
Educational Requirements
· Preferably someone with Theological and or Christian education training and experience.
