The Role
Do you want to make a difference and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to enhancing Enterprise HR Talent capabilities within Fidelity’s Enterprise Technology business unit?
We are looking for a technical Squad Leader of Talent, Performance & Development who will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements. You will set and refine the mission and bring together a team of chapter members to execute a global modernization strategy.
You will be responsible for Vendor Management associated with Talent capabilities and for aligning the squad on the 'what' and 'when' work to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog.
In an Agile way, you will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation, and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.
Your responsibilities include:
- Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to empower and establish `
- Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria.
- Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client/partner needs to serve as their voice and guide team execution.
- Measuring performance against established objectives and critical metrics and delivering agreed-upon business, technology, and people results.
- Collaborating and coordinating with chapter leaders and scrum masters to build squad capacity and capability, enabling squad member growth, development, and learning.
- Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines.
- Participating in client meetings to present strategic roadmaps, participate in client usability sessions, and engage with client user groups.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or engineering preferred.
- 7+ years’ technical experience with reviewing, analyzing and implementing HR and/or Talent Development solutions
- 7+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner in a software development environment.
- Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions.
- You efficiently communicate and develop sophisticated product features into clear and concise narratives with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria.
- You build and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach.
- Proven experience managing Vendor relationships and strong working knowledge of contract administration.
- Experience building roadmaps and working with the Agile team to deliver on milestones.
- Strong working knowledge and proven experience leading an Agile development team.
- You strongly focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress.
- You can lead, influence, and motivate colleagues without formal authority and have a track record of building hard-working teams.
- You possess strong business/technical knowledge about building products that display financial information to customers.

This dynamic team works in partnership with the Talent group Product Leader in Associate, Workforce & Security Technology (AWST) Product Area, other Squad Leaders, Scrum Master, and Chapter Leaders aligned to the Talent, Performance & Development Squad. Partnering with HR and Associate serving leaders, HR Platform enablement leaders, and business partners like Talent and HR Operations is essential to supporting the business functions with the technology operations platforms.
