The Role:

We’re looking for a mission-driven Staff Technical Sourcer to join a foundational team in Ambience’s technical recruiting efforts. In this high-impact, zero-to-one role, you’ll partner closely with our engineering leaders to design and execute sourcing strategies that identify and engage world-class technical talent. You’ll own the top of the funnel: mapping markets, driving outreach experiments, and delivering high-signal candidates across engineering and machine learning roles. This is a builder's role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, works with urgency, and has a deep appreciation for the art and science of sourcing.

This role is Remote friendly in the Continental U.S.

What You’ll Do:

Who You Are:

  1. You have 7+ years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience, ideally within a high-growth startup where hustle, creativity, and storytelling were essential.

  2. You’re a zero-to-one operator—someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds systems from scratch, and iterates quickly based on feedback and data.

  3. You’re resilient and resourceful, able to make progress even when facing ambiguity or limited direction.

  4. You have a strong understanding of technical domains, with experience sourcing ML talent, backend/front-end/full-stack engineers, and niche AI roles.

  5. You’re an exceptional communicator—equally comfortable pitching hard-to-reach talent and syncing with execs.

  6. You bring a first-principles mindset and are deeply outcome-oriented, always optimizing for impact.

  7. You’ve built inclusive sourcing practices and care about crafting memorable, high-touch candidate experiences.

  8. You’re passionate about helping scale mission-driven companies and can compellingly pitch Ambience’s vision in competitive talent markets.


Pay Transparency

We offer a base compensation range of approximately $165,000–$195,000 per year, exclusive of equity. This intentionally broad range provides flexibility for candidates to tailor their cash and equity mix based on individual preferences. Our compensation philosophy prioritizes meaningful equity grants, enabling team members to share directly in the impact they help create. If your expectations fall outside of this range, we still encourage you to apply—our approach to compensation considers a range of factors to ensure alignment with each candidate's unique needs and preferences.
