The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a dynamic and innovative
STEM Technologies & Horticulture Teacher
to join our team in the Springfield and Westfield regions. This unique role blends hands-on STEM instruction with career-focused horticulture and green technologies, preparing students for both academic success and future career opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- 3D Printing, Robotics, and Virtual Reality applications
- Computer Science, C-Tech, and applied technologies
- Green energy exploration and sustainable practices
- Organic gardening, landscaping, and greenhouse techniques
- Support career readiness pathways, including certifications, dual enrollment college opportunities, and vocational skill-building.
- Facilitate STEM-focused, hands-on projects that integrate science, technology, and real-world problem-solving.
- Provide culturally responsive instruction that fosters curiosity, higher-order thinking, and a growth mindset.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment, including effective classroom management and use of blended learning tools (Google Workspace, VR platforms, etc).
- Engage families, provider agencies, and community partners in supporting student success.
This is a teacher position for the Western Massachusetts area. This position is itinerant for the region and involves local travel.
This position requires:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current Massachusetts Teacher license.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Massachusetts license in Mathematics or Science (8-12) or Technology/Engineering (5-12)
- Master's degree in Education, STEM, or related field.
- Experience teaching at-risk or diverse student populations.
- Background in vocational or applied technology education.
