Position: Sterile Processing Technician (Full Time Permanent role)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Shift: Night shift, 5 8-hour shifts per week

Payrate: $19-$27 (depends upon interview)
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to meet safety standards. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patient care by providing sterile instruments for surgical procedures.
Duties
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality before use.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Utilize proper aseptic techniques during the handling of sterile items.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments.
- Follow safety guidelines and infection control procedures to minimize risks.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in sterile processing.
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is a plus but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE - (1) one year of experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Cer Board Sterile Prcng & Dist (CBSPD), Cert Reg Central Service Tech (CRCST), Cert Sterile Proc/Distr Tech (CSPDT), Cert Surgical Technologist (CST): Must have one of these.
Certified Board Sterile Processing & Dist (CBSPD), or
Certified Reg Central Service Tech (CRCST), or
Certified Sterile Proc/Distr Tech (CSPDT)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
