Position Summary
Stewardss passionately model Kitchen Table's mission of providing fresh, vibrant, and nutritious food that creates a delightful dining experience. Stewards will maintain an inviting dining and serving environment and ensuring cleanliness of all areas of Kitchen Table.
Accountabilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dish area
- Aid in cleanliness and maintenance of Kitchen Table spaces such as walk-ins, service area, storage units, restrooms, etc. Including but not limited too: sweeping, mopping, removing trash, wiping counters, etc.
- Ensuring all utensils, glassware and cups are available and stocked for the guest
- Ensuring all kitchenware and cookware is cleaned properly and available for cooks to use
- Assist in the organization and distribution of orders to the proper storage space using FIFO methods
- Build and maintain excellent relationships and communication within the department, both with front of house staff and cooking team
- Follow the service standards in line with the 1440 Multiversity Cuisine Profile and the organization's vision, mission and values
- Follow sanitation protocols set by Executive Chef and Dining Manager
- Ensure all bus carts and dish storage is clean and sanitized
Essential Skills and Experience
- Have a current California Food Handler's Card
- Excellent people skills
- Work with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge in impeccable front of house service standards, preferably in a large-scale dining environment
- Experience providing an excellent guest experience, including creating loyalty and repeat customers
- Proven ability to build successful relationships with both superiors and colleagues
- Affinity with 1440 Multiversity's mission and core values
- Demonstrate experience in and enthusiasm for process improvement
- Highly collaborative, flexible team player, keen to engage in positive, supportive, professional relationships
- Able work standing and walking for up to 8 hours
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Other duties and projects as assigned
