What You'll Be Doing:
The purpose of the Stockroom Associate is to: 1) Inventory incoming/outgoing production floor products; 2) Properly store inventory in stockroom; 3) Fulfill production floor part orders; 4) Keep stockroom records and compiles stockroom reports; and 5) Follow company policy and procedure to ensure a safe, respectful workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read work orders, follow production drawings, work instructions, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Accurately stores parts for production floor orders by part number in correct location.
- Pick parts orders for sub-assemblies as part kits for production or end items for customer shipment.
- Preserve received and stored parts by observing proper handling procedures.
- Maintain inventory of parts and trace discrepancies.
- Record accurately in computer systems and maintain legible handwritten records and forms.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Receive completed work orders.
- Interpret information maintained in MRP system.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education preferred.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- 1 - 3 Years Manufacturing Experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Problem solving Skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
On the shop floor, employees are required to wear safety equipment consisting of: closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, heel straps, wrist straps, and electro-static discharge lab coats while on the production floor and are occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and minimal risk of electrical shock.
