Strategic Account Executive
The Role
RAPS is seeking a Strategic Accounts Executive, who will be responsible for driving revenue and engagement across RAPS full product/program lineup to a targeted portfolio of strategic accounts focused opportunities include enterprise membership, professional development programs (workshops, certificate primarily on large-sized companies in both the pharmaceutical and medical device product sector. Sales and business development programs, asynchronous learning, etc.) and major event attendance. This position is incentivized to grow existing business, increase yearly Enterprise Membership in given territory, and cultivate new prospects.
What will you do with us:
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned strategic accounts.
- Meet/exceed assigned targets for profitable sales and strategic objectives across strategic accounts.
- Rigorously pursue all sales leads (by phone, email, or other means) to meet sales goals/quotas
- Works closely with the IT team to ensure accuracy of Enterprise accounts, system requirements, and follow up.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Articulate and positively position full portfolio of RAPS products and services to key decision makers to drive increased engagement.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of RAPS member benefits and product offerings.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing team to develop and execute strategies and plans for lead generation, lead qualification and opportunity development.
- Maintain sales reporting in accordance with RAPS requirements.
- Stay informed on industry changes and continually work to improve sales techniques and knowledge.
- Provide customer service and support as needed, including invoicing, renewal notices and updating client database records.
- Committed to a team approach and positive attitude, including a focus on their own success, that of their team, and RAPS at large.
What you will bring to succeed:
- 5+ years strategic sales or relevant experience in a business-to-business environment
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary skills and expertise required for the position.
- Keen ability to cultivate and grow relationships/partnerships.
- Motivated to prospect by goals/quotas and takes a collaborative approach to strategic selling.
- Client-focused, service-oriented approach to sales and business development
- Excellent internal/external written and verbal communication skills
- Strong budget management, project management and analytical skills
- Sound judgment, ability to make tough decisions, keen negotiator.
- Strong, proactive, solutions-based approach to problem-solving
- Collaborative, goal-driven, multi-tasker with attention to detail who thrives working in a fast-pasted, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce and Impexium AMS preferred.
- Association/nonprofit and/or regulatory/health-science experience preferred.
