This opening is for Arconic Architectural Products in Eastman, GA. We are the leading manufacturer of an aluminum composite material known as Reynobond. Reynobond is primarily used in the commercial construction industry. Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) is a standalone facility, part of Hoover’s Fire Treated Wood Products business.
The Supply Chain Analyst will work as part of a team with other Supply Chain professionals who are responsible for all aspects of the supply chain functions, including inventory management and production scheduling. This position will support inventory accuracy and integrity, including material forecasting, purchasing and back-flushing. This position will support production needs to include coordinating with suppliers, reducing material lead times, improving supply chain quality, production planning/scheduling and meeting customer delivery objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Through the use of ‘Demand-Pull’ Queries, the SCA determines the need of purchased bare aluminum, painted aluminum coil, adhesive, heavy gauge film and other raw materials required to support the master production schedule. The Supply Chain Analyst’s decisions are based on existing orders, current inventories, lead-times and anticipated shrinkage.
- Initiates purchases for direct material utilizing standard purchase orders with qualified suppliers.
- Reschedules existing orders to reflect paint schedule changes and to support inventory control objectives.
- Oversees and coordinates delivery of all current materials purchased.
- Coordinates the communication between paint suppliers and coil coaters when problems arise.
- Performs responsibilities which conform to cost reduction objectives.
- Provide actionable analysis to drive waste elimination in the supply chain network
- Establish a collaborative working relationship with commercial, logistics, and operation teams to identify opportunities for long-term growth and value
- Lead and manage concurrent projects and demonstrate effective prioritization skills for maximum value creation
- Leverage knowledge and technical skills to efficiently analyze data and present ideas to upper management
- Develops decision support tools and financial models to analyze the cost/benefit tradeoffs of inventory.
- Supports all replenishment activities including: development of new forecasting tools, meeting with vendors to collaborate inventory forecasting and replenishment strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials/Inventory Management, or related line of work.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field from an accredited institution;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Materials/Inventory Management
- Advanced user of MS Excel functions
