Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking an Associate, Supply Chain Cost Management Intern.
SUMMARY
The Associate, Supply Chain Cost Management Internship role supports supply chain personnel in project-based activities, including proposal support, procurement of goods and services, vendor coordination, and milestone tracking. This internship provides hands-on experience with the procurement lifecycle, from RFQ issuance to PO creation, and promotes team collaboration to ensure timely delivery of project materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of a Supply Chain Cost Management Director:
- Support management to meet corporate and project goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project teams to issue POs and revisions.
- Manage Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs) and support supplier evaluations.
- Issue Requests for Quote (RFQs) for services and equipment.
- Assist with milestone payment processes and supplier documentation tracking.
- Provide support for expediting, logistics, and capital equipment procurement.
- Maintain procurement records and monitor vendor performance.
- Participate in discussions regarding defective goods and help identify corrective actions.
- Ensure standardization of supplier-facing documentation and PO integration.
- Assist with cost comparison analyses and data reviews.
- Create and revise POs in SAP.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at a four-year accredited college or university.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, engineering documents, and regulations.
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate percentages, interest, and apply algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Ability:
- Problem-solving and critical thinking in diverse and non-standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in email, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic databases.
