Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate ESL teachers (2) to support English Learners (EL) in grades 1 through 5. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in language development and culturally responsive practices to help students thrive academically, socially, and linguistically.
Responsibilities

Provide direct ESL instruction to students in small group and/or inclusion settings across grades 1–5

Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with WIDA standards and students’ language development levels

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support integrated instruction and co-teaching models

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of language development/services

Conduct language proficiency assessments (e.g., ACCESS) and participate in the identification and reclassification process

Communicate regularly with families, including those from diverse linguistic backgrounds, to support student learning and engagement

Serve as an advocate for English Learners within the school community
- Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives related to language equity and inclusive instruction
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

Valid teaching license with ESL/ELL endorsement (required)

Experience working with elementary-aged English Learners

Knowledge of second language acquisition theory, WIDA standards, and culturally responsive teaching practices

Strong collaboration and communication skills
