Your adventure begins now—unleash your potential with ManTech!Mantech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team in Herndon, VA. We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a complex technical program in support of a commercial company operating in the U.S. Federal market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT program management, systems integration, and stakeholder engagement within the federal sector. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, security, and federal customer teams along with the commercial company stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of secure and compliant solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage end-to-end program lifecycle for federal IT initiatives, from requirements gathering to implementation and closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and communication strategies.
- Coordinate with federal agency stakeholders, internal technical teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure program execution aligns with federal compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA).
- Track performance metrics and provide regular updates to executive leadership and federal partners.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively while ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Drive Agile or hybrid project methodologies to enable iterative delivery and customer feedback integration.
- Support proposal efforts, including project planning, LOEs, and programmatic volumes, when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical field OR 4+ years of additional technical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, with at least 3 years supporting U.S. Federal Government clients.
- Proven experience managing federal IT programs, including cloud migration, SaaS platform, cybersecurity, data analytics, or enterprise software deployment.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition lifecycle, contracting vehicles, and program governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to brief technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).
- PMP, SAFe, or Agile certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a technical or management field.
- Experience working with Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or Federal Civilian customers (e.g., DIA, DHS, DoD, GSA).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC).
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and government reporting (e.g., CPARS, PMRs).

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
