The Vendor Master Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the organization’s vendor master database. This role ensures compliance with company policies, manages vendor on-boarding, and facilitates smooth communication between vendors and internal departments.

Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain vendor records in the vendor master database.
- Verify vendor details, including tax information, banking details, contact information, and business credentials.
- Regularly review and audit vendor data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Facilitate the on-boarding process for new vendors, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and verified.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
- Provide vendors with guidance on company policies and procedures related to payments and invoicing.
- Ensure vendor records comply with company policies, tax regulations, and financial audit requirements.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to identify and address potential risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Support the implementation of anti-fraud measures by verifying vendor authenticity.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
- A valid driver’s license may be required, along with a driving record that meets the requirements of the company’s insurance provider.

- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Familiarity with vendor management processes, tax forms (e.g., W-9), and banking procedures
