Position Title:
Village Clerk Services Coordinator
Department and Reports to:
Village Clerk
Summary of Position:
The Village Clerk Service Coordinator facilitates the efficient operation of the Clerk’s Office by
performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
Duties Include:
- Secretarial and clerical duties for the staff of the Village Clerk's office
- Maintain high citizen contact including fielding complaints and responding to inquiries
- Process transactions, FOIA Requests, Bankruptcy and Court Appearance Notices
- Access and maintain Village files and records, including confidential and sensitive records such
- Process all liquor, peddler & solicitors licenses; maintain all files pertaining to the same.
- Process and post all agendas and ordinances passed by the Village Council.
- Type letters, memos, forms, invoices, charts, reports, minutes, including minutes from executive
- Access and review confidential and sensitive Village files and records, such as those for the
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma; and relative college level secretarial courses
- 5 years' experience in an equivalent position
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Abilities to include familiarity with business writing skills, record and transcribe
meeting minutes in a timely fashion
