Temp Visual Designer | SRB Creative
Who We Are. Wayfair’s Specialty Retail Creative team is a dynamic group of innovative thinkers spanning multiple disciplines. We collaborate closely with strategic leaders to elevate Joss & Main, Birch Lane, and AllModern into premier destinations for home furnishings and décor. As a hands-on, collaborative team, we’re dedicated to producing high-quality branded assets for a variety of marketing materials, including digital, print, and video advertising.
The Role. We’re looking for a Junior Visual Designer to join our team on a temporary basis this Fall, covering a maternity leave. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time position. In this role, you'll work closely with our in-house creative team to develop new projects and execute existing ones within established templates. You'll collaborate with your creative peers, a Design Manager, Creative Director, and Marketing leadership to deliver polished, effective creative work.

What You’ll Do:
- Uphold the integrity of our Specialty Brands’ (AllModern, Joss & Main, Birch Lane) visual systems through branded asset creation.
- Design graphics across a range of media, including promotional campaigns, digital assets, email marketing, print, etc.
- Assist the team with research, exploration and ideation (especially alongside leveraging AI!).
- Manage multiple projects requiring cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
- Work cross-functionally and partner with other business groups at Wayfair as needed.
- Proactively seek and develop ways to help the team work smarter, faster, and more efficiently with an emphasis on exploring and integrating AI tools into creative workflows. Develop, align on, and implement processes where needed.
Who You Are:
- BFA in graphic design or related field, or equivalent training.
- 1+ years of experience in graphic design or related field.
- Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator). Experience with GSuite preferred.
- Proficiency (or at least familiarity) with Figma
- Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats.
- Ability to self-manage projects and seek out answers to questions in a very fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in both concepting and technical design, with an ability to see things from both a creative and business point of view.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with all levels of the organization. Embodies and promotes a successful attitude, a positive work environment, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
- A wealth of curiosity-especially regarding emerging technology and AI tools within the creative space.
- Proactive, forward-thinking and collaborative.
