Waynesboro Area YMCA- Coed and Women's Recreational Volleyball Leagues
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Referee to oversee volleyball games and ensure fair play. As a Referee, you will play a crucial role in upholding the rules of the game and promoting sportsmanship among players.
Responsibilities:
- Officiate games, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules
- Communicate effectively with players, and spectators to maintain a positive game environment
- Resolve conflicts or disputes that arise during games in a calm and professional manner
- Enforce penalties or sanctions when rules are violated
- Provide guidance and coaching to players on rules and sportsmanship
- Maintain impartiality and make quick decisions under pressure
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the rules and regulations of volleyball
- Excellent communication skills to interact with players, coaches, and spectators effectively
- Experience in conflict management to handle challenging situations on the field
- Previous experience in sports coaching
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
