Simms Machinery International is a small, hands-on team delivering precision-engineered Turbomachinery systems within the energy sector, specializing in natural gas and other industries. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable individual to join us as a Warehouse Specialist in our new Webster, TX location; someone who can keep the flow of parts and materials running smoothly, support our order processing, and help us stay organized as we grow.

Duties and Responsibilities
This role is all about making sure the right parts are where they need to be — on time, every time. You’ll manage inventory, organize incoming shipments, and package outgoing kits that help our customers overhaul their equipment. Using our inventory management system (Fishbowl Inventory), you’ll track stock levels, flag reorder needs, and keep things organized and moving. You’ll work closely with the office and production teams to ensure stock levels are maintained and orders flow smoothly. The regular duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving incoming materials, verifying contents, and updating the inventory system.
- Allocating inventory to their appropriate order shelves.
- Preparing outgoing shipments, including packaging and documentation.
- Overseeing and maintaining inventory records using Fishbowl Inventory Software.
- Monitoring stock levels and communicate when reordering is needed.
- Placing orders with suppliers to ensure inventory and customer orders meet their fulfillment deadlines.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and inventory areas.
- Assist with general shop support as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, organized work style.
- Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control.
- Experience using inventory or warehouse software.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a physical, hands-on environment.
- Dependable, communicative, and team-oriented.
Preferred Experience – Not Mandatory
- Experience with Fishbowl Inventory software
- Prior work in a manufacturing or industrial equipment environment.
- Associate’s degree or related coursework
- Able to drive a forklift
Work Schedule
Standard workdays are Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
