Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of two industrial wastewater treatment facilities using biological and mechanical treatment, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data effectively.
Duties
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, including equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Collect and analyze data related to wastewater treatment processes, utilizing logic controllers for monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including data collection for regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the building and installation of new equipment as needed.
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of materials using tankers when necessary.
- Apply basic math skills to perform calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates.
- Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and safety standards.
Experience
- Experience with biological systems;
- Class 3 Preferred
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Experience with plumbing systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
