Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator with a PA DEP Wastewater License Class B,E Subclass 1,4. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of an activated sludge treatment plant, pump station and collections system. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance and repairs of the treatment system.
Responsibilities
- The Operator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and repairs of the treatment system.
- Monitoring and maintaining the system in accordance with regulatory standards and requirements.
- Laboratory equipment and instrumentation including collecting and analyzing data related to water quality and treatment processes.
- Troubleshoot issues with logic controllers and other automated systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electical, instrumentation and plumbing is preffered.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and data collection.
Requirements
- Proven experience in wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and regulations.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and data collection methods.
- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to operations.
- Ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds or more, walk up and down steps, climb and work in confined space areas.
- Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and make informed decisions.
- Experience with equipment repair is a plus.
- A valid PA driver's license is required. A CDL license is a plus.
- Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays and respond to emergency calls on a rotating schedule.
