Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Membership Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving membership growth and engagement through effective sales strategies and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales, business development, and account management, with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients. You will leverage your skills in lead generation, negotiation, and territory management to achieve membership goals and enhance the overall member experience.
Duties
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new members and retain existing ones.
- Conduct outside sales activities including cold calling, product demos, and direct sales presentations.
- Manage assigned territory to maximize lead generation and account management efforts.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials that drive membership interest.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Engage in upselling opportunities to enhance member benefits and services.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and industry developments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in B2B or technology sales environments.
- Strong understanding of account management principles and territory management strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce for tracking leads and managing customer relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively.
- Demonstrated ability in lead generation techniques and direct sales methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing market trends and identifying growth opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in retail sales or technical sales is a plus.
