Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, performing clinical treatments, and collecting specimens.
- Accurately document all patient care and interventions.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and emotional/spiritual support.
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in New Mexico or compact RN license.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Additional certifications (to be obtained within specified timeframes after hire):
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months.
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certification within one year.
- Commitment to maintaining all required certifications and staying current with professional standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in acute care settings.
- Familiarity with patient-centered care models and interdisciplinary collaboration.
