RESTON WORSHIP & STUDENT COORDINATOR

+ Position Description
The Worship and Student Minister for the Reston Center Campus will lead 6th-12th grade students in their journey with Christ and lead worship at their home campus on Sundays. This individual will oversee the student ministry, guide students to Christ, facilitate discipleship through Bible studies, support their involvement in church service and evangelism, lead worship at certain campus ministry events, and participate in certain church-wide events. The Worship and Student Minister will collaborate with other student ministers and campus worship coordinators to align curriculum, plan events, and maintain a unified approach across all Trinity campuses.
+ Areas of Responsibility - Worship MinistryWorship Services
- Lead weekly worship services at the Reston Center campus.
- Prepare music, song charts, and arrangements for the campus.
- Program multitracks and backing tracks for weekly services and special events at the campus.
- Update Planning Center and production notes for weekend services and special events.
- Assist with other special music/worship events as needed.
Volunteers
- Lead campus Worship Team volunteers in weekly rehearsal sessions.
- Schedule Worship Team volunteers through church Planning Center software.
- Identify, select, and train campus Worship Team volunteers using standard protocols.
- Regularly communicate with campus Worship Team volunteers.
- Provide pastoral care and support to campus Worship Team volunteers.
- Recruit, train, deploy, and support adult volunteer leaders for the Worship ministry.
Church-wide Worship Ministry Team
- Be part of Trinity’s church-wide (all campuses) Worship Ministry Team that includes all Campus Worship Coordinators and is led by the Worship Director; the Team will meet monthly.
- The church-wide Worship Ministry Team will:
- Establish common worship protocols, including standard of dress, and a standard worship song list to be used on all campuses.
- Establish a process for evaluating, selecting, and training campus worship teams.
- Plan church-wide or regional worship events as directed by the Trinity Church Elders.
- Discuss issues common to the worship ministry at all campuses.
+ Areas of Responsibility - Student Ministry
- Develop and execute a plan to achieve Trinity's 4-part strategy (Come, Grow, Serve, Reach) in the Princess Anne Student Ministry.
- Recruit, train, deploy, and support adult volunteer leaders.
- Offer pastoral care to high school and middle school students.
- Work with the Trinity Student Director and collaborate with fellow Trinity Student Ministers to align campus student ministries, curriculum, and church-wide events.
GROW
- Implement a strategy to help students grow more like Christ, primarily through community groups, regular campus events, and occasional church-wide events.
- Equip parents through seminars.
SERVE
- Develop & implement a strategy to help students discover their spiritual gifts and serve in the local church.
REACH
- Develop & implement a strategy for students to view their schools and community as a mission field.
- Reach out to local schools and new students, plan mission trips, and teach evangelism.
Administration
- Learn and maintain proficiency with church-wide software applications.
- Attend campus staff meetings and meet regularly with the Campus Pastor.
- Develop annual goals and budgets for campus Worship and Student Ministry in collaboration with the Campus Pastor and the church-wide Director of Worship and Students.
- Purchase equipment in accordance with the Worship Ministry SOP’s.
- Participate in Trinity’s church-wide Worship Ministry Team and Student Ministry Team.
- Regularly communicate with parents, students, volunteers, and staff.
- Manage the annual ministry calendar and campus Student Ministry budget.
+ Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree; however, relevant experience may be considered as an alternative to a four-year degree.
- Outstanding vocalist or musician.
- Proven ability to lead worship and to organize and lead a worship team with at least one year of church staff experience or two years as a volunteer leader.
- Mature Christian faith.
- Gifts of leadership and/or administration, and teaching.
- Love for and effectiveness in reaching and discipling students.
- Proven ability to lead and organize students and volunteers with church staff or volunteer leader experience.
- Physical stamina that allows standing for several hours, and the ability to assist with load in and load out.
+ Expectations
- Accountability: Directly report to the Reston Campus Pastor and to the church-wide Director of Worship and Director of Students. Will take part in regular performance reviews.
- Work Hours: This is a full-time position with an expected 40 hours/ week average, which will include Sundays. Your office hours may vary from week to week based on the campus's specific needs.
- Spiritual Commitment: Maintain a daily commitment to prayer and Scripture, and continue in Christ-centered spiritual growth and development.
- Church Engagement: Actively participate in Trinity Church by becoming a member within the first 90 days and joining a community group, and be involved in the church-wide life of Trinity Church.
- Doctrinal Support: Support and uphold Trinity Church's doctrinal beliefs.
- Leadership Alignment: Align with the leadership and decisions made by the Elder Board, including decisions made for that specific campus.
- Meeting Attendance: Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly all-Trinity staff gatherings, and cooperate during semi-annual reviews with the Campus Pastor.
- Summer Engagement: Participate in week-long student camps and summer missions trips.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
