Looking for OWNER/OPERATOR CDL Class A drivers with TWIC. We run ocean containers from Charleston Ports. Drivers will work a Mon-Fri schedule, daily port pulls 3-4 a day $100 per pull. Will also have local city work available as well. Average gross $2000 to the truck weekly.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Pull containers from the 3 terminals in Charleston to our yard in Charleston, and containers from the yard into the any of the 3 terminals.
- Deliver loads to customers within roughly 20 miles radius of the port.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
- Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record while holding a valid TWIC card.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license
- TWIC Card required
- Experience in truck driving and commercial driving
- Proficient in operating chassis and hauling '20 and '40 containers
- Familiarity with yard jockey responsibilities
- Previous delivery driver experience is a plus
