Position: Summer Camp Assistant Program Director Salary: $45,000.00
The YMCA Arlington is currently seeking an experience professional to join our team as the Summer Camp Assistant Program Director. Our ideal candidate is able to maintain high expectations while also ensuring a fun, and positive environment daily! The Assistant Program Director oversees the Summer Camp program.
Some of the exciting things you will do as the School Age & Summer Camp Program Director:
- The Assistant Program Director will manage the daily operations of the summer day camp programs.
- Establishes relationships with individual children and families and being responsive to their needs.
- Ensure all children receive enriching educational programming with a focus on positive experiences and child outcomes.
- Provides assistance to staff in developing the summer camp curriculum that is fortified with meaningful experiences while meeting the needs and interests of the group and individual child.
- Assist in interview and hire qualified staff. Supervise and provide appropriate orientation and training for summer camp staff.
- GED or college degree.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working primarily with preschool, school age, or summer camp children.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff.
