Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Basketball Instructor to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate confidently leads structured, developmental training sessions for youth athletes of all skill levels. Whether you're a former player, PE teacher, or experienced youth coach, you’ll play a vital role in helping players improve both their game and character.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-quality instructional sessions for youth ages 6–18
- Create and follow structured lesson plans tailored by age and skill level
- Adapt drills and training based on group performance and individual needs
- Teach fundamentals including shooting, ball handling, footwork, passing, defense, and game IQ
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all players
- Communicate clearly with players and parents, offering feedback on progress
- Help grow the program by building relationships and encouraging enrollment
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, systems, and drills
- Previous coaching or competitive playing experience preferred (college or high-level high school)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with kids and developing leadership through sports
- Coaching certification or relevant degree (PE, kinesiology, etc.) is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to complete training
- Required PA State Background, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances
Schedule & Commitment
- Part-time, flexible hours (evenings and weekends)
- Opportunities for year-round coaching in clinics, leagues, and camps
- Potential to expand into private training or full-time development roles

- Programs based in Lansdale and Souderton
