Your New Role
You will work within Guidance & Advice and be responsible for assessing and monitoring the advice delivered to members across the Fund’s Simple, Digital, Phone, Internal Comprehensive and External Advice channels.
You will help ensure trustee obligations are met and members’ interests are protected. Drawing on your broad understanding of the financial advice environment and relevant legislation, you will support the ongoing development and delivery of the Fund’s Advice Assurance Program.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Conduct licensee due diligence assessments and make recommendations regarding licensee registration.
- Manage the Licensee Attestation Process and assess the continued eligibility of registered licensees to deduct advice fees and receive member referrals.
- Undertake assurance activities relating to advice fee deductions, the delivery of advice services and compliance with the sole purpose test.
- Conduct advice file audits of personal and general advice provided via adviser led and member led journeys to assess compliance with legal, ethical and Fund requirements.
- Assist and support the development, deployment and ongoing maintenance of the member led and adviser-led advice journeys.
- Complete detailed reviews of internal and third-party advice channels and prepare assessment reports and recommendations.
- Manage advice incidents, monitor Key Risk Indicators and support appropriate remediation and timely closure.
- Develop and maintain relationships with advisers, licensees and internal legal, governance, risk and advice stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Advice Assurance Program, including relevant procedures, policies, standards and reporting.
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in financial planning compliance, legal, regulatory or auditing.
- Previous experience with intra-fund and digital advice.
- A relevant industry qualification, including a Diploma of Financial Planning, RG146.
- An understanding of financial planning businesses and the ability to apply proactive compliance principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to make clear decisions involving difficult choices or considered risks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- A tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
