Job description

Salary: $36 per hour

You're great with people. We'll teach you energy assessments.

You know how to make people feel heard, work out what they need and follow through. You're comfortable asking questions, taking responsibility and getting things moving without someone directing every step.

At Energy Advance, those abilities matter. We provide residential energy assessment and compliance services to clients across Australia, and we're looking for a Client Solutions Consultant who brings the judgement, communication and personal ownership that make the whole experience work well.

Bring the strengths you've developed in your career into a specialist field. You don't need energy assessment experience: we'll provide structured training and ongoing support to help you build the technical skills. You'll bring the ability to connect with people, use initiative and follow through on your commitments.

About the role

You'll manage residential assessment jobs from the information we receive through to a completed assessment. That means understanding what is needed, coordinating the details, checking the result and keeping the right people informed along the way.

You'll learnt to review building plans, apply energy assessment requirements and prepare accurate documentation. Alongside the technical work, you'll use your judgement to resolve issues and make sure each job is completed properly.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working with people and taking responsibility for a varied workload. You could bring experience from customer service, account management, hospitality, project coordination, operations, administration, construction or another people-facing role.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of residential energy assessment jobs and keep each one progressing.
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues in a friendly, clear and professional way.
  • Follow up missing information, explain what is needed and help resolve issues without leaving people wondering what happens next.
  • Review project information, complete energy assessments and prepare accurate documentation.
  • Check your work, apply the relevant requirements and raise anything that needs a second look.
  • Plan your workload, meet agreed turnaround expectations and flag delays early.
  • Take ownership of mistakes or problems, communicate what you are doing and follow through until they are resolved.
  • Share useful feedback and suggest practical improvements to the way we work.

What you'll bring:

Your previous job title matters less than the way you work. We're interested in people who build trust, communicate naturally and take responsibility for the experience they create.

You may have developed these skills in customer service, hospitality, sales, account management, administration, project coordination, construction, insurance, finance or another role involving people and detailed work.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Relates well to different people and can communicate with warmth, confidence and respect.
  • Uses initiative: notices what needs attention, takes the next sensible step and asks for help when needed.
  • Takes ownership and follows commitments through rather than waiting to be chased.
  • Can organise a busy workload and keep several jobs moving at once.
  • Listens carefully, asks good questions and explains information in a clear, practical way.
  • Is comfortable learning technical requirements, working accurately and using feedback to improve.

Energy assessment, NatHers or energy efficiency experience is welcome, but isn't required. Full training is provided.

Training and Development:

We'll guide you through our Energy Assessor training pathway, including:

  • Residential energy assessment methods and technical requirements
  • Assessment software, company systems and workflows
  • Client communication and documentation standards
  • Quality, accuracy and turnaround expectations
  • How to investigate issues, use your judgement and escalate when needed.

You'll learn through supported assessment work and guidance from experienced colleagues. Technical capability develops over time; your communication, initiative and reliability are what you bring from day one.

Why join Energy Advance:

  • Learn a specialist field through structured training and hands-on experience.
  • Join an established team serving clients across Australia.
  • Put your people skills to work while building specialist knowledge and taking on greater responsibility as your capability develops.

How to apply:

Send us your CV and a short cover letter. Tell us what attracts you to the tole and give an example of how you have taken ownership, used initiative or helped someone get a good outcome.

If you're great with people and ready to learn a new field, we'd like to hear from you.
