Credit Risk Manager12-Month Secondment OpportunitySee yourself in our teamUnloan is CommBank's digital home lending business, combining the strength and scale of Australia's largest bank with a simple, technology-led lending experience.The Unloan Risk team plays a critical role in supporting safe and sustainable growth by ensuring strong credit and financial risk outcomes for our customers and our business. As a Credit Risk Manager, you'll join a small, high-performing team responsible for credit risk governance, responsible lending, policy development and operational risk management. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to balance growth, customer experience and risk outcomes in a rapidly evolving digital environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, developing and enhancing credit policies, lender guides and standard operating procedures.
- Identifying policy gaps, opportunities for improvement and recommending practical solutions.
- Acting as a subject matter expert on credit policy, responsible lending and lending operations.
- Partnering with stakeholders across product, lending and operational teams to support initiatives and manage risk effectively.
- Supporting the review and maintenance of lender-facing and customer-facing collateral.
- Contributing to risk reporting, portfolio insights and monthly performance reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, controls and governance frameworks.
- Supporting the delivery of safe customer and financial outcomes through strong credit risk management.
- Experience in home lending, credit risk, credit assessment or credit policy environments.
- A strong understanding of home loan products, credit policies, income assessment methodologies and lending documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of responsible lending obligations and the broader regulatory environment.
- Experience developing, reviewing or implementing policies, procedures or operational documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence a range of audiences.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience interpreting data and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical business outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with reporting and Excel-based analysis.
