Head of Technology

Lead the technology strategy that powers a growing Australian marine services business.

At Bhagwan Marine, technology is critical to the way we operate. We're seeking an experienced Head of Technology to lead our ICT function and drive innovation, cyber security, digital transformation and business systems performance across the organisation. Based within our Corporate Services team, this is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future direction of technology and AI adoption across the business.

About the role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Corporate Services, you will provide strategic leadership across ICT infrastructure, cyber security, enterprise applications, data governance, cloud services and emerging technologies. You will develop and execute technology roadmaps that support operational excellence, business growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the organisation's technology strategy, planning and investment initiatives.
• Driving cyber security governance, risk management and business continuity programs.
• Overseeing enterprise business systems, integrations and digital transformation projects.
• Developing and implementing the company's AI strategy and governance framework.
• Managing cloud platforms, networks, telecommunications and ICT infrastructure.
• Leading a team of ICT professionals and fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
• Managing technology vendors, contracts, budgets and service delivery outcomes.
• Supporting executive decision-making through technology insights, reporting and innovation opportunities.

About You

You are an experienced technology leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery. You have a strong understanding of modern ICT environments, cyber security, enterprise systems and emerging technologies and are passionate about leveraging technology to create business value.

To be successful, you will bring:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in senior ICT leadership or technology management roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading cyber security programs and governance frameworks.
• Experience delivering enterprise systems, digital transformation and technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and vendor management capabilities.
• Commercial acumen and experience managing ICT budgets and investment decisions.

Desirable but not essential Qualifications

• ITIL Certification
• CISSP, CISM or equivalent cyber security certification
• PRINCE2, PMP or Agile Project Management certification
• Microsoft Certifications
• AI Governance or AI Risk Management qualifications
