IT Support Person
Job description
IT Support Team Member
Casual | Flexible Opportunity | Hands-On IT Support
Are you the person everyone calls when the Wi-Fi drops out, a laptop refuses to cooperate or someone has forgotten their password for the third time this week?
We’re looking for a capable, friendly and hands-on IT Support Team Member to join one of our growing clients and help keep their people, devices and systems running smoothly.
This is a great casual opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys solving problems, helping people and getting things working.
You don't need to overcomplicate things. We want someone practical, approachable and technically capable who can troubleshoot an issue, explain the solution in plain English and move onto the next challenge.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll provide day-to-day IT support across the business, including:
- First-line IT support for desktops, laptops, mobiles and printers
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Setting up new users, devices, accounts and system access
- Supporting Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Password resets, MFA and general user access support
- Basic Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting
- Installing and updating software and hardware
- Keeping track of IT equipment and assets
- Assisting with backups, endpoint protection and general cybersecurity practices
- Liaising with external IT providers and vendors when required
- Documenting common issues, fixes and internal processes
- Helping identify better and easier ways of doing things
Who We're Looking For
You may already be working in IT and looking for some additional hours, studying IT and wanting more hands-on experience, or simply looking for a flexible role where you can put your technical skills to good use.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Previous IT support, helpdesk, desktop support or systems support experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of networking and connectivity
- Confidence setting up computers, devices and user accounts
- A practical, common-sense approach
- Great communication skills
- Patience when helping people who aren't particularly tech-savvy!
- The ability to manage several requests and work out what's genuinely urgent
Experience with Microsoft 365, networking, backups, endpoint protection or cybersecurity would be highly regarded.
