Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to provide leadership across a large-scale transformation program within the electricity utilities sector.

This role requires someone who understands the complexity of a regulated utility environment and can lead a team of Business Analysts working across interconnected business processes, technology platforms, operational functions and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide direction to Business Analysts across multiple utilities workstreams
  • Drive consistent BA standards, requirements practices and ways of working across the program
  • Review and assure requirements, process maps, user stories, impact assessments and other BA deliverables
  • Lead analysis across complex utility business processes, systems and operational environments
  • Identify cross-functional impacts, dependencies and risks across interconnected utility systems and processes
  • Facilitate workshops with operational, technology, engineering and business stakeholders
  • Translate complex operational and regulatory requirements into clear business and technology outcomes
  • Coach and mentor BAs, providing guidance on complex requirements and stakeholder challenges
  • Partner with Program Managers, Project Managers, Architects and Technology Leads to support successful delivery
  • Provide clear visibility of BA priorities, dependencies and issues to program leadership

Key Requirements

  • Significant experience as a Lead Business Analyst / Principal Business Analyst within large transformation programs
  • Strong electricity utilities experience is essential
  • Good understanding of complex utility operations, business processes and technology environments
  • Experience working across large programs involving multiple interconnected systems and business functions
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and providing direction to BA teams
  • Strong requirements management, process mapping and impact assessment capability
  • Experience navigating regulatory, operational and technology change within utilities
  • Strong senior stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and influencing skills
  • Ability to identify and manage complex cross-program dependencies, risks and impacts
