As Lead, Marketing and Communications, you'll lead the team responsible for informing, engaging and connecting our community. You'll work closely with senior leaders and elected members, providing strategic advice while overseeing a broad portfolio spanning marketing, communications, media, brand and digital channels.
You'll be part of important conversations across the organisation, helping shape communication approaches, support major projects and initiatives, manage reputational issues and identify new ways to engage with our audiences. At the same time, you'll mentor and develop a mid-sized team of talented specialists who are passionate about delivering great outcomes.
In this role, you will:
• Lead Council's marketing, communications, media, brand and digital marketing functions.
- Provide strategic advice and support to senior leaders, the CEO, Mayor and Elected Members.
- Drive communication, engagement and marketing initiatives that support organisational priorities.
- Oversee media relations, reputation management and content across a range of channels.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of marketing and communications professionals.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation and data-informed decision making.
- Manage budgets, resources and external supplier relationships.

- Salary range is from $111,846 to $118,917 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
